Beach Day
Looking for a beach out of a postcard? The photo above is taken at one of my favorite local spots. Boca Grande Range Lighthouse Beach (you can put this right into google maps). Park and pay and follow the path down to the water, you will walk out on to one of the best kept secrets in Southwest Florida. This "locals only" spot isn't known by many. Making for a peaceful beach trip. Stop into town on your way out for lunch and shopping! You can rent golf carts and stop on Banyon street for a photo under their famous backdrop 100 year old + Banyon trees! Goldie, (my best friends daughter) pictured below, during our recent adventure.
Brunch or Dinner at Rosy Tomorrow's Heritage Farm
I discovered this place when a local blogger shared her experience on Facebook. I am a food LOVER and this place was calling my name. We tried brunch first and were instantly hooked. Delicious fresh ingredients and wholesome atmosphere. Its a real working farm and open air restaurant. Dining is by reservation only! Arrive early to walk the grounds to get to know their grass-fed Longhorn cows, pastured Red Wattle pigs, and pastured Black Australorp chickens are heritage breeds.
Book a Local Fishing Charter
A great way to get to know the area and out waters is to book a local fishing guide. Our area is known for many different kinds of fishing. Inshore, offshore, tarpon and sharks. We have a little bit of everything! In the video above I assist my husband with his charter guests, they hook and land a Goliath Grouper. The fish is safely released after a few quick photos. Nothing gets you closer to nature than a kayak or paddleboard tour! My friends at Paddleboard Adventures are professionals at showing you around and getting you up close and personal to dolphins, manatees, starfish and more!
Horseback trail rides and lessons
Branded Heart Stables is located in Englewood Florida and offers trail rides every Saturday at 10am and 1pm. Its a fun and relaxing weekend adventure, no experience necessary! They also have horseback rides and pony rides for children. Check out their website for more information.
TT's Tiki Bar on Charlotte Harbor
This is a great place to watch the sunset and catch up with friends. Tiki on Charlotte Harbor is located at the base of The Four Points by Sheraton in Punta Gorda Florida. They the have some of the best views and drinks around! Check out their website for more information & events!
Fishermans Village
Dining shopping and views all in one place! If you haven't been to fishville you must check it out. The shops are beautiful and air conditioned with unique items you wont find anywhere else.
